National ‘Click and Send’ Campaigns
Since I became an MP in 2010, I have received a great many ‘click and send’ emails which constituents send via lobbying websites.
While these are very useful in letting me know how local people are feeling on a particular issue, replying individually takes up a very large amount of staff time. With limited budgets available to my office, we have made the decision to redirect our efforts to focus primarily on those constituents facing pressing individual matters or complex problems that require a great investment of time and effort to resolve.
As such, my responses to the a number of these campaigns will be placed on my website so that people who contact me on a particular issue can still find a detailed reply.
