MP backs Asda's 'Tickled Pink' campaign

Meon Valley MP George Hollingbery lent his support recently to a charity fundraising event at the Asda store in Waterlooville.

George went along to the shop in Portland Road as employees raised money for the supermarket's Tickled Pink campaign to aid the Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign charities.

Alan Baxter sat in a tub of pink custard for two hours during the event and staff have raised £1269 so far this year with Alan, who works in the store's bakery, netting £313 alone for his stunt.

"This is a very worthy course and it was great to see staff having fun and raising money," said George.

"I certainly didn't envy Alan's two hour custard bath, but the cash will help many, so well done to him and everyone else involved."
